We are looking for a Project Engineer with specialized expertise in power generation, distribution, or frequency converters to join our Electrical Solutions team. As a Project Engineer, you will be part of a knowledgeable multidisciplinary team dedicated to working on some of the most challenging projects in the maritime industry. We develop electric propulsion, power and automation systems that will be the basis for safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of various vessel types e.g. passenger transport, research, LNG, offshore wind installation and fish farming. We work with both AC systems and DC systems.
The tasks may consist of
A project engineer in "Electrical Solutions" works together in one or more project teams consisting of electric power engineers and automation engineers. A project team works towards a shipyard on one or a series of vessels. Engineering and design for "Electrical Solutions" engineers involves close communication with customers, factories, R&D and classification societies. The "Electrical Solutions" engineers design the plant, prepare documentation, guide the customer, conduct system studies, participate in factory tests and support during commissioning.
Qualifications for the role
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree in electric power engineering. Graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- We look for the ability to approach other disciplines outside of your core competencies, as well as the ability to make decisions from a systems perspective. You are able to combine practical and theoretical knowledge.
- Fluency in English is a requirement, as well as cultural awareness and mutual respect – we have an international workplace where we have clients and colleagues of different backgrounds and nationalities.
- We believe that you are interested in learning about the maritime industry and power systems, as well as having an interest in new technologies in low and zero-emission technologies such as fuel cells and energy storage systems.
