Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a collaborative and reliable Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Deck Machinery team. Our team develops, deliver and maintain complex winch and handling systems for a broad range of vessels within the offshore market. Currently we have a special focus on solutions within offshore wind and renewables. With us you will contribute to developing new and exciting products and be part of a highly skilled team. We are looking for candidates who are motivated and passionate about being in the forefront of technology development in the industry.
The position is in our Handling business area which owns, develops and delivers world class handling solutions, with focus on system solutions and integration driving increased efficiency in our customers' operations. The area is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg Maritimes winches and handling solutions.

Key accountabilities
- Perform conceptual design and take lead in development of new products and solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Execute customer deliveries in close collaboration with project managers, product owners and other project members.
- Be prepared to take on technical project lead role in customer deliveries.
- Design and verification of winches and other handling equipment.
- Provide engineering support to activities related to manufacturing, purchase, testing and quality.
- Aspire to take on technical leadership roles in the future.
- Be an active contributor to our team both socially and professionally.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree within mechanical engineering or similar.
- Strong competence within mechanical 3D-design, we use NX/Teamcenter.
- Knowledge of structural calculation, both analytical and CAD.
- Experience with system integration.
- Experience from working with project execution and customer interaction.
- Practical experience from maritime industry or experience from offshore marine operations is an advantage.
