Senior Purchaser

At our customer, they are on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Purchaser to lead our local site purchasing and vendor management. If you’re passionate about driving efficiency and making impactful decisions, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

What You’ll Do:

• Lead Local Purchasing: Take charge of assessing needs, launching RFIs and RFQs, and designing contracts. You'll implement and monitor continuous improvement plans that drive results.
• Strategic Contributor: Collaborate on defining category strategies that align with our group vision and ensure practices are synchronized across business units and sites.
• Problem Solver: Act as the first escalation point for site PSS operations, managing purchases under €50,000 while steering larger negotiations and strategies over €250,000.
• Insightful Reporting: Deliver key insights and performance reports to plant and site managers, as well as the SPM and Group Purchasing Department.
• Champion of Processes: Implement the company processes and standard purchasing practices, while supporting transversal Group Purchasing initiatives in your area.
• Risk Mitigator: Identify and address purchasing risks while standardizing needs and defining functional specifications.
• Supplier Advocate: Curate a panel of suppliers, lead negotiations to secure the best partnerships, and manage contracts for optimal performance.
• Market Analyst: Analyze market trends, establish benchmarks, and propose innovative solutions to keep us ahead of the competition.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years in purchasing with a proven track record.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Skills: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with fluency in English (Norwegian is a plus!). Strong Excel analysis capabilities are essential.
• Mindset: A competitive, positive attitude with a results-oriented approach.
• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with SAP and Ariba is preferred, and adaptability to new tools is a must!
