We are now looking for full-time Project Manager to join our RELEX family in Oslo, Stockholm or Copenhagen. You will be part of an innovative team of Project Managers, who will help you succeed in your new role.
Reporting to the Project Management Lead, Scandinavia, your main responsibilities will be managing software implementation projects through all the phases of a project lifecycle in the field of retail merchandising and supply chain management. You are responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the RELEX software by building customer relationships, solving problems, coordinate and prioritize project tasks. You ensure all timelines are met by creating and maintaining project plans, budget and communication to the wider project team including senior stakeholders. You understand project profitability and influencing factors and can identify and escalate potential risks and issues. You keep track of the scope and know RELEX Project Best Practice methodology and templates and are familiar with at least 1 RELEX product area and customer industry and all aspects of a standard implementation.
Travel: up to 10 – 20% travel will be required to visit customers on a regular basis or occasionally to meet with the RELEX teams in our other offices.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Communication & Relationship building:
- Creating and implementing a communication plan, including steering group meetings, ensuring that all stakeholders are adequately informed;
- Ability to communicate effectively, building strong relationships with customer project team and senior stakeholders that increases customer’s perception of the value RELEX brings to their business and expands future business opportunities being able to identify and influence potential cross- and upsell opportunities;
Project Management:
- Strong skills in project methodologies and deep understanding of RELEX Project Best Practice;
- Responsible for project scope and managing change requests, owning the project plan with the project team and project profitability and reporting;
- Ensuring all tasks are completed within the timelines to best practice standards being able to deliver major projects to time, cost and quality;
- Organize and facilitate project meetings and workshops ensuring actions are documented and followed up until completion;
- Support sales processes as a representative of Customer Operations;
Risk Management:
- Ability to identify risks in projects and manage mitigating actions, owners and deadlines until resolved, knowing when to escalate to appropriate level;
- Understands the Profitability and Resource Management elements well, and can drive appropriate actions and escalations
Keeping people accountable:
- Supports project team members to deliver good quality work on time;
- Keeps both the internal and external project teams accountable and actively facilitates discussions, resolve issues and mitigate conflicts;
- Ability to drive Change Management discussions and function as a promotor of change;
- Can take on the role of a Project Owner, and support other PMs.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Experience leading multiple successful IT system implementations within large IT landscapes;
- Effective leadership interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to interact confidently with customer stakeholders, influence and negotiate;
- Strong time management and prioritization of tasks;
- Strong risk analysis and risk management plans – being able to look ahead mitigating risk;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Business level English communications skills and fluency in at least one Scandinavian language;
What we consider as an advantage:
- Qualified to degree level OR 3+ years of working in the retail / CPG industry;
- Entrepreneurial attitude with interest towards growing the business;
- Supply Chain Industry knowledge;
- Experience with a grocery / CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) / FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) retailer or supplier;
- Ability to understand SCM systems from both business and IT perspectives;
- Any other languages at a high level of competency.
