What you would do as our Mechanical Design Engineer
You would work across a wide range of product areas, combining mechanics, electronics, and software disciplines, specifically within locks, safes, and complete security systems. These products are developed in Sweden and Norway, manufactured in China, and assembled at our dedicated facility in Shanghai.
You would also:
• Manage product development from initial concept through design, industrialization, verification, certification, and product launch.
• Be a key member of the hardware development team, contributing to the creation of electromechanical access control products and related hardware for mass production in global markets.
• Design, prototype, and verify components and products using tools such as SolidWorks and Siemens Teamcenter (PLM).
• Collaborate closely with colleagues responsible for electronics, firmware, and software design.
• Liaise with vendors, sourcing teams, and factory operations to support the introduction of new products and ensure smooth, ongoing mass production.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:
• A master’s degree in mechanical design.
• A hands-on approach, enjoying time in the workshop to prototype and test your own designs and solutions.
• Some relevant work experience (though recent graduates are also encouraged to apply).
• Strong organizational skills, a positive mindset, analytical approach to problem-solving, a desire to learn and continuously develop your skills.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
Ideally, proficiency in a Scandinavian language, also a strong interest in mechanical solutions and the design of smart mechanisms is desirable.
