NOV’s Mechanical Engineering Eastern department is a center of competency for mechanical design. Our team provides high-quality mechanical design and technical documentation for various equipment in new and existing markets. Role Overview:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Mechanical Designer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to grow and develop in a supportive environment. Responsibilities include:

• Performing detailed mechanical design according to NOV guidelines.
• Creating and reviewing production drawings.
• Collaborating with internal teams including electrical, hydraulic, calculation, controls, and technical safety.
• Contributing in the preparation of general project documentation.
• Participating in technical clarifications with workshops, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Staying updated with relevant regulations and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering. Recent graduates or those with limited experience are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with mechanical design, including basic knowledge of machine elements, tolerances, and material selection.
• Proficiency in CAD systems (e.g., Inventor, Prosteel, Creo, SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD) is beneficial.
• Strong English and Norwegian language skills.
• Good collaboration abilities and a willingness to learn.
• An interest in the oil and gas industry is preferred but not required.
