Summer Intern - Manufacturing

We are currently looking for skilled engineering students within manufacturing, industrial engineering, automation/robotics or data science to join our team, and we hope you are the one we are looking for. Good technical skills can replace lack of studies.

What we think you should have:

• Interested to see the insides of a manufacturing company and spend time in a production environment
• Willing to work in a global and multicultural environment
• Good technical understanding
• Curiosity and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills in English (Norwegian a plus)
• Structured mindset to approach problems
• Plus points for special experiences:

-       CAD System experience (Autodesk Inventor)

-       Software experience (MS Office, MS Power BI, Infor M3)

-       Understanding of metal production technologies (such as laser cutting, punching, bending, roll forming, welding)

-       Understanding of automation and programming (Rapid for ABB Robots, Karel for Fanuc Robots)

Examples of task for different areas:

Manufacturing-Engineering / Production-Support

• Lead/Support production related projects and tasks for…

-Improvement/standardization

- Production concepts/evaluations

-Production jig designs

-Production layout evaluations/changes

-Mockups/Documentation/Visualization of production equipment and flows

Data Collection, Analysis and Reporting

• Identify potentials for data reporting together with the local team
• Create temporary/permanent reporting concept(s)
• Collect data in the ERP System (Infor M3) or on the shopfloor/in production
• Prepare reports, analyze data, provide summaries and recommendations

Robotics & Programming (ABB/FANUC Robots in Production)

• Learn and follow the local robotic production workflows
• Be part of the local robotics workcenter(s) and team(s)
• Apply your knowhow on the job with real impact
• Document your experiences and provide insights for improvements
