We are seeking an Electrical Design Expert to work in the energy industry!
On behalf of our client we are searching for an experienced Electrical Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Produce new documentation and drawings such as Heat Trace layouts, Light and small power layouts
- Revise existing documentation and drawings
- Produce work package for installation
- Produce calculations, short circuit, heat trace and lighting
- Order electrical materials needed for installation.
- Must be able to understand P&IDs and drawings from different disciplines
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of relevant standards such as PTIL, ATEX, IEC61892 and Norsok
- Knowledge of modifications on offshore and onshore installations when in operation
- Experienced in several process & utility systems, incl. Main Power, Emergency Power and UPS supported systems
- Knowledge of instrument and electrical equipment used in the oil industry
- Knowledge of the difference of using hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical systems as the power source in the safety system
- Experience with engineering systems like Febdok, Pims, ProArc, STID, ProCoSys, Heat Trace calculation, Tag-systems and Microstation, is preferred
- Excellent English writing and speaking skills
- Norwegian language is preferred
Work Experience:
- 5 to 7 years, within offshore-related projects on Norwegian continental shelf
Education:
- Masters or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology degree with related Trade Certificates
- EX certificate
- FSE certificate
