Jefferson Wells is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer for our client in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience with automation deliveries in multidisciplinary oil and gas projects, preferably in modification projects. You must have strong collaboration skills and a deep understanding of the interaction and complexity involved in modification projects.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Review documents and drawings, mapping, and identifying scope in FEED projects.
- Develop guidelines and specifications for Safety and Automation Systems (SAS).
- Define and design solutions for PCS, PSD, ESD, B&G, and PDCS systems.
- Prepare C&E, SCD, sequence diagrams, functional specifications (FS), IO lists, and similar documentation.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Conduct site surveys.
Background and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with automation design in multidisciplinary oil and gas projects, especially modification projects.
- Strong knowledge of automation design, relevant EU directives, harmonized standards, and international standards.
- Experience in developing SAS documentation, such as Cause & Effect (C&E), functional specifications (FS), and documentation that describes the implementation of new/modified control system logic.
- Familiarity with working closely with control system suppliers and participating in FAT.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or technical vocational education with 9 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- Desired Experience with Tools
- Proficiency in MS Office.
