Akai s950

The S950 Vintage Sampler from 1988 with a unique, very sought after character.

12-bit processing and 8-note polyphony

Maximum 48 kHz sampling rate and a maximum 2.25 MB of RAM.

8 mono direct outputs, 1 left, 1 right and a mono mix output.

I have tested the sampler and it works as it should.

Selling because it takes up space and is not being used anymore.

The only way to get the real old skool sound is to use the old skool gear.

For Hip-hop, jungle, d'n'b. lo-fi, techno and more.

Fatboy slim made his hit album using just 2 of these and a drumcomputer.

The S950 was the first Akai sampler to implement time-stretching, it also has crossfading for better looping.

It normaly sells on reverb for about 16 to 25k (remember sending costs add up aswell)

I will include 7 boxes with 3.5" floppy disks.

Some have samples on them, some Cubase 1.01 files from the atari st.falcon.

I used to make drum'n'bass in the early 90's.

Probably best you format them before using, because I'm not shure which ones will work just fine and which once are to old or damaged. If it doesn't want to load or format it's broken.

But I tested 5 random floppy's, and all loaded just fine. So at least you have a few.

Can be tested in Trondheim.

I also prefer pick up in Trondheim, but can send at the buyers risk.
