We are a robotics startup in Stavanger/Sandnes looking for new talents. Together we make an autonomous robot that’s revolutionizing airport operations.

Currently we are eleven strong, but in the coming months we will scale up fast. Get in early and have an impact on the journey.

Who you are

You are a senior developer with strong experience in backend development. Self-driven, motivated and with a passion for tech. You love to learn and aren’t afraid of a challenge.

What you can expect

Diverse, fun days building software for one of the most cutting-edge companies in the world. What we are trying to achieve is novel and complex, and therefore challenging. But if you’re the right person for Roboxi, you know that’s a good thing. It means we spend our days learning new stuff and exploring unchartered territories. At Roboxi you won’t be making the same database migration over and over, but rather figuring out how to solve completely new problems.

Some problems we have solved/are solving:

• Making the rover drive by itself
• Creating a system that makes 3D models of cracks in the surface
• Autonomously finding and removing objects on the runway at high speed, in all weather conditions
• Autonomous fence inspection
• Creating a custom high end camera system for the above problems
• Trying out new sensors for novel problems

At Roboxi you will have the possibility of working with a lot of different things outside development, if you so desire. Some examples are:

• Testing
• Working with customers
• Working with suppliers
• Building an organization

Working arrangement

We offer a flexible working arrangement. Both remote and in-person options can be considered, but the work is easier and more fun if you live nearby and can drop by some days a week. Currently, most of us are in the office at least three days a week, unless we’re visiting clients or attending conferences.

The process

After you’ve sent your application you will be called in for an informal meet and greet. This is hopefully in person here at FOMO Works in Sandnes, but it could also be arranged via Teams. Should take less than an hour.

The next step will be a small case. This should also take less than an hour, and there’s no preparation needed. There will be several case options to choose from, so you can pick one that you think will showcase your talents.

After this there will be a salary negotiation with the CEO and start up as soon as you are available.

We are open for having the meetings in the evening, if that is easier to arrange.
