As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Electro Engineer - Steel with experience in onshore or offshore projects.

This position is led from Stord.

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?

• Experience in design verification and feedback on engineering/vendor documentation
• Responsibility for electro steel and interface with IT/IS (engineering register, 3D/Navis, MIPS)
• Collaboration across disciplines (EIT, piping, structure, civil, HVAC), suppliers, subcontractors, production, and planning
• Verify 3D design for electro steel and starter bars
• Ensure building methods are integrated into EIT shop engineering
• Optimize work packages for production efficiency
• Verify HSSE-friendly designs in 3D models (PDMS)
• Prepare work packages for cable ladders and electro steel
• Ensure implementation of DCNs in work packages
• Prioritize strong HSSE performance

Qualifications we think you should have:

• Skilled Worker/Fagbrev - Electro
• Experience with DAK-tools and strong knowledge of basic computing
• Familiarity with “as-built” and mechanical interface drawings
• Proficient in MS Office 365 (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Planner, Power BI, Teams, SharePoint)
• Experience with MIPS and E3D
• Knowledge of instrument equipment and tubing
• Completed EX and FSEL courses
• Practical first aid certification
