Minimalist brutalist concrete steel chair A Homage project to Jonas Brohlin design

This is an art project I did paying tribute to Jonas Bruhlin design chair from the 60s

The design is based on his famous concrete chair

It is a raw execution with geometrical elements of steel and concrete exploring the design at its basic elements

It is made of two concrete slabs surrounded by a steel square rods. It crosses the line between sculpture and furniture by breaking free from the functional demands to which furniture design has forever been subject. Quite simply, it jars with the conventional perception of a piece of furniture.

The raw surfaces interplay with patinated steel forms I believe they fit and interact perfect with Scandinavian design houses

Utilitarian art: connecting functionality with artistic expression this chair could hold on its own as an art piece
