IMF Compact Monitor II / CM2

Beautiful loudspeakers, made in England in the late 1970s.

Gorgeous walnut cabinets, in practically mint condition.

IMF (who later became TDL, known for their incredible transmission line speakers) apparently didn’t think about the budget when they were designing these, so no corners were cut.

The sound is crystal clear — they let you hear every detail in the music. I’ve used them with Audiolab, Luxman and NAD amplifiers, and they all work great together.

I’m only selling them because I have too many pairs of loudspeakers. I’d rather keep them, but I don’t use them enough to justify that.

They didn’t have speakers grilles when I bought them, but they look great without anyway. The stands in the photos are not included.

They’re heavy, and I wouldn’t want to post them, so pick up is preferred.

According to IMF, the frequency response is “34 Hz to beyond audibility”.
