"Jormungandr" Original Ink Art - Limited Edition Print

DESCRIPTION

The artwork revolves around the themes of Life-Death-Rebirth inherent to our life and the nature that we are part of. Finding beauty in everything within and without, by connecting echoing patterns, forms, and essences intrinsic to every organism.

This piece is called "Jormungandr" with a nod to the Norse mythology sea snake/dragon who plays a big part in the beginning and carrying out of Ragnarok.

Fun fact about this one is that the reference used for the head skull of the creature is the skull of mesosaurus, which, in my opinion, is the closest "hardcopy" of a sea creature from eons ago, that we humans actually have a tangible evidence of.

This artowork, as well as "Dødsulven" is heavily influenced by the Norwegian flora and fauna, both on land and in/at sea.

SIZES and PRICES

The size of the original is 56cm x 76cm. Since the prints are done at a professional studio, they can be arranged at a different size. I do not recommend going much smaller than 75% of the original size as it may affect the details of the work.
