Join our team as Senior Project Manager / Project Director to manager large multi-discipline projects in the Water & Energy Business Units. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring the project is effectively planned, executed, and completed on time.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, effectively representing the project team and ensuring clear communication of project goals and updates.
- The PM/ or PD plays a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, actively pursuing additional sales opportunities in projects, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project execution.
- Organize the project team, assign tasks, and provide leadership to ensure the smooth progression of the project. Handling of people / People skills are key tasks.
- Collaborate with Line Managers and the Business Unit Vice President to secure necessary resources for the project.
- Create and manage the project budget, ensuring it reflects the scope and resources needed, while monitoring spending to meet financial targets.
- Implementing cost-saving strategies, maintaining control over project costs and development.
- Collaborate with various functions including design, procurement, assembly, and client teams to ensure coordinated project execution.
- Provide regular minimum monthly updates both internally (VP Project Execution, CEO, CFO) and externally (Client), including risk, opportunities, challenges and successes.
- Make sure that all key project decisions, interpretations, and agreements related to the Project is documented.
- Ensure the project adheres to company policies and procedures throughout its lifecycle.
- Ensure that contractual obligations are met, protecting Techouse rights under project agreements.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required in managing offshore-related projects, specifically in the development and modification of new facilities. Preferable experience in water treatment systems is an added advantage. For the Project Director position, it is preferable to have experience working on international big projects.
- Project Lifecycle Proficiency: Proven expertise in managing projects across all phases, ensuring successful achievement of objectives.
- Strong analytical abilities for problem-solving and effective decision-making. Project management is strongly supported by strategic thinking and good negotiation skills.
- Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage projects within scope, budget, and timeline using recognized project management methodologies and tools.
Personal Attributes:
- Team Player and Independent Worker: Able to work effectively both within a team environment and independently as required.
- Detail-Oriented: A methodical approach to tasks, ensuring accuracy and precision in execution.
- Effective Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with both team members and clients. The project manager must have good people skills to be able motivate and foster the best from his team.
- Multidisciplinary Knowledge: Familiarity with various disciplines related to water treatment and process systems.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Norwegian is a plus.
- Digital Competence: Well-developed digital skills will be a plus. Modern projects are multi-location manned and as such most communication must be done in digital form.
- Being able to obtain information from various sources for use in both external and internal communication & reporting.
- Financial Competence: The project Manager role is a commercial position and good knowledge in economy, negotiation as well as cash flow is required.
