Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for a highly motivated and flexible Mechanical Engineer with a mix of technical and commercial mindset.
You will be part of a team that works with the ongoing projects in the company. The tasks will vary depending on your experience and competence, as well as the needs of the project. Versatility, curiosity and flexibility are qualities we value highly at KANFA, but the core focus area is static equipment which is required in our projects.
The advertised position reports to the head of the mechanical department, who contributes across ongoing activities in KANFA.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare technical documentation in accordance with current regulations, specifications and customer requirements.
- Preliminary mechanical design of static equipment
- Review of supplier documentation for equipment, in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
- Participate in projects and tenders, according to assigned project role.
Typical project roles include:
- Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Lead
- Package Responsible Engineer (Mechanical Equipment)
- Interaction and coordination with other disciplines within the project
- Handle and follow up changes in the project that affect mechanical equipment
- Participate in inspections and tests (e.g. FAT) of mechanical equipment and packages at suppliers

What do we want from you?
- Bachelor’s degree or higher within Mechanical Engineering.
- Mechanical background with min. 3-5 years of experience from projects within the energy industry (onshore and/or offshore).
- Experience with commonly used codes and standards for static equipment such as ASME, PED, EN, etc.
- Multidisciplinary understanding
