We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Service Engineer, preferably with previous experience in the offshore and marine industry to strengthen our team in Kristiansand. Our ideal candidate is able to handle multiple disciplines or is interested in broadening your scope. Alternatively, you are newly educated with a can do attitude, ready to kickstart your career.
This role is based in Kristiansand and reports directly to the Operations Manager. The role requires worldwide traveling.

Main tasks and responsibilities
- Professionally supervise and perform service activities such as refurbishment, upgrades, inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective actions on MacGregor and equivalent equipment Provide information and write reports as required
- Cooperate with the local MacGregor service network
- Recognize service and spares sales opportunities and communicate that to the relevant departments/persons
- Support sales activities such as follow-up on leads and quotes while at site, as agreed with sales responsible Job management of the subcontractors
- Follow and comply all site safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
What you’ll need to succeed
- Technical education Bachelors- or Technical college level within Mechatronics, Automation, Machine or similar relevant experience
- Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education
- Previous experience with Siemens Step7, TIA, Omron, InTouch HMI and Drives
- Ability to work independently
- Communication skills and ability to build networks
- Willingness to travel is essential
- Proficient in spoken and written English
