Impact the Future as Our Global Impact Advisor – MERL
Mission Alliance is seeking an experienced Advisor in Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) to help advance our international goals. This unique role offers the chance to apply your expertise in building a global framework for learning and results across Mission Alliance’s international program portfolio, within an evolving and forward-looking organization.
As the Global Impact Advisor – MERL, you will support the Oslo office and country teams in monitoring, evaluation, research, accountability, and learning across all countries and donors.
Mission Alliance’s ambitious new Strategy (2024-2028) emphasizes results- and knowledge-driven programming, processes, and decision-making. By leveraging data and evidence-based approaches, we aim to ensure that our efforts lead to sustainable outcomes and raise overall quality.
In this role, you will set a strategic direction for prioritizing learning and knowledge-sharing across country offices, partners, and the Oslo office to support informed decision-making.
The position is part of International Department and reports to Head of Section for Programme and Grant Management. You will work closely with the Institutional Partnerships Advisor and staff at the country offices.
In this position, you will:
- Be responsible for our Global Results framework.
- Support Mission Alliance’s digital transformation in data collection and analysis.
- Lead the development of Mission Alliance’s digital system for data collection and project management.
- Ensure that we measure and assess results to improve goals and organizational learning.
- Offer technical expertise to colleagues at the Oslo office and the country offices.
- Be responsible for and coordinate the global knowledge plan and execute these plans in collaboration with thematic advisors and project advisors.
- Stay updated on trends within monitoring, evaluation, results, and learning.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant higher education
- Experience from Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning.
- Experience from development aid, project design, and donor requirements.
- Skills in qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.
- Preferably experience in digital data collection and analysis through Kobo Toolbox, Power BI, R, and similar.
- Strong pedagogical and inter-cultural skills.
- Proficiency in English, and preferably Norwegian; knowledge of Spanish and familiarity with Latin America are advantageous.
