Job Description

• Define and develop Telecom philosophy and design solutions for telecom subsystems, including remote operations, maintenance, monitoring, and new technologies.

• Follow up with telecom vendors and manage vendor technical documentation.

• Coordinate and interface with other disciplines, suppliers, installations, and clients.

• Develop and complete engineering documents and data registers.

• Participate and contribute to relevant test activities, workshops, and reviews.

• Provide site support to the fabrication yard.

 

Qualification Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant technical education.

• EX course.

• FSE course.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in telecom engineering and system design within greenfield oil & gas or wind projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.

• Strong experience and in-depth knowledge of telecom design in accordance with relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL, and IEC.

• Relevant practical experience may compensate for a lack of formal education.

• Excellent communication skills, proficient in English.

• Cooperative team-oriented attitude, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.

• A natural team player who can also work independently.

• Systematic, accurate, and committed to meeting deadlines and quality requirements.

• Proactive, eager to seek advice, and share experiences with others.

• Innovative mindset, with a focus on improving methodology and solutions.

• Ability to understand and implement requirements based on new standards.
