Kongsberg Ferrotech AS designs and manufactures advanced robots, to deliver robotic services of underwater installations such as subsea pipelines, offshore wind turbines, and subsea power cables. Our cutting-edge robotic systems redefine underwater operations by delivering cost-effective and safer solutions. Designed for challenging ocean environments, our robots perform complex IMR tasks in a single mobilization, eliminating the need for divers and heavy vessel support.

Due to the successful performance of our robots and a growing workload, we are expanding our team and seeking experienced professionals in Mechanical Engineering. 

Job tasks and responsibilities 

·       Perform concept and detail design – apply creativity and innovation to develop new ideas and concepts, taking projects from initial vision to complete design 

·       Prepare drawings and engineering documentation in accordance with KF internal guidelines and relevant standards  

·       Prepare and hold Design Reviews for products and components as required 

·       Provide engineering support to internal and external stakeholders 

·       Support assembly and testing of equipment at sub-suppliers and KF workshops 

Personal qualities 

·       Creative and innovative mindset 

·       Self-disciplined and self-motivated  

·       Team player  

·       Master or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering 

·       Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD systems 

·       Experience from the oil and gas industry is preferred, but not a necessity 

·       Practical, hands-on experience is an advantage 

·       Excellent Norwegian and English communication skills - written and oral
