As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Field Engineer - Piping with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
This project is led from Stord and will be operated in 14/21 day rotation.
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?
- Assist production with technical problems that can occur during fabrication and installation work at construction site
- Assist production with interpretation of drawings and job basis.
- Prepare work basis and documentation for technical solutions in cooperation with Fabrication Engineering
- Ensure quality and punctuality of deliveries per project procedures
- Communicate closely with work leader, method, fabrication engineering, PRE, and others
- Contribute to continual improvement work
Qualifications we think you should have:
- Bachelor’s or technical degree. Relevant construction experience may compensate for formal education
- Experience from piping field engineering is beneficial
- Proficient in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken
- Active and solution-oriented
- Knowledge and use of 3D tools and MIPS
