OKEA ASA is looking for an Explorationist to join our exploration team at our head office in Trondheim. OKEA is focusing a major part of the exploration activity within the Norwegian Sea and North Sea basins, and OKEA is a key player in areas around own operated hubs.

We are looking for candidates that interact and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Tasks

• Contribute actively within OKEA exploration and subsurface teams
  
• Seismic mapping and interpretation at all levels
  
• Geological mapping, interpretation and well log correlation
• Prospect screening, generation, mapping and evaluation
• Follow up exploration licence committees, both in OKEA operated, and partner operated licenses
• Build knowledge within geological and geophysical exploration methods
• Build knowledge within petroleum systems and play analysis
  
• Build knowledge within volume and risk assessment
• Additional geoscience tasks/responsibilities are likely to be assigned to any subsurface employee in OKEA, e.g. development projects, activities related to subsurface quality management, or BD-activities

Qualifications

• MSc degree within petroleum geoscience related subject
• 0-5 years experience from working in cross disciplinary teams or project work
• Commercial understanding and solution-driven attitude
