Job Description

• Oversee fire and gas safety measures, including active and passive fire protection, detection systems, and area classification.

• Develop and maintain shutdown philosophies.

• Manage barriers in line with safety strategies and/or performance standards.

• Facilitate risk assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, and Design Reviews.

• Manage risks related to assigned projects.

• Conduct studies and execute projects within Technical Safety.

• Ensure compliance with technical work environment standards.

• Perform design reviews and prepare technical specifications.

• Adhere to the company’s personnel handbook and regulations.

• Provide excellent service to both internal and external clients.

• Support the promotion of the section and assist in attracting new projects and assignments.

• Foster a positive working environment.

• Recommend improvements and address discrepancies with corrective measures.

• Collaborate with management to enhance personal expertise.

• Follow instructions and procedures to maintain high-quality and efficient work.

• Use authorized systems and programs.

• Notify and initiate review and ordering of equipment/tools necessary for project execution.

 

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technical Safety or a related field.

• Relevant engineering experience can compensate for the lack of formal higher education.

• Fluency in both Norwegian and English is required.
