We are currently seeking for:
JUNIOR MARINE SUPERINTENDENT LNG – Oslo (Temporary position)
A Junior Marine Superintendent is responsible to ensure that all assigned vessels are operating in compliance with requirements and at all times are acceptable to our customers. The work includes support to vessels and commercial departments from office as well as onboard activities to promote company excellence including auditing, inspections, guidance, training, campaigns and other relevant activities.
The selected candidate will be given responsibilities based on skills and experience which may include the following:
Responsibilities:
- Treat Health and Safety as their top priority in line with the companies Zero Harm value.
- Manage all assigned vessels for day to day Marine functions in close cooperation with the technical and commercial teams.
- Coordinate and assist with vetting/ external inspections and respond to reports as required.
- Conduct internal audits and onboard inspections. Ensuring follow-ups and close out of audit and inspections for the allocated vessels.
- Handle routine and non-routine assessments, voyage assessments management of change and other support requests from vessels.
- Company Security Officer for dedicated vessels and implementation of ISPS requirements.
- Monitor, analyse, manage and minimize loss due to mal-operation, accidents and incidents.
- Actively communicate with the teams including briefing and training them on marine matters.
- Participate in and take a lead as necessary in development of onboard training programs and perform training sessions onboard.
- Act as a representative of the organisation for industry specific committees and meetings.
- Preform duties as part of the companies Emergency response requirements.
- Seamlessly work using office 365 including analytical use of the platforms.
Qualifications:
- Education within Maritime Industry or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience from maritime related industry.
- 2+ years seagoing experience as Junior Officer is an advantage.
- Conversant with applicable rules, regulations, and industry requirements (SOLAS, ISM, ISPS, MARPOL).
- Experience with gas carrier ship operations is an advantage.
- Good command of the English language, verbal and written.
- Relevant work experience in similar role is an advantage and may substitute qualifications and requirements.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural awareness.
- Self-going.
- Structured and well organized.
- Have a holistic perspective, without losing attention to details.
- Good analytical skills and ability to use analytical tools.

Location:
- The position will be based in Oslo, Norway. Some travelling should be expected.
