The Director of Systems Operations is responsible for managing, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the cloud-based infrastructure, distributed edge environments, and internal IT solutions. The team is global and spans different cultures from 19 nationalities.

A key aspect of the role is driving innovation and continuous improvement in systems management, security, automation, and distributed computing to meet business goals.
 

Duties and responsibilities

• Ensure system availability, performance, and scalability, meeting SLAs and uptime objectives.
• Manage the configuration, security, and disaster recovery plans of all systems.
• Collaborate with the development, product, and security teams to ensure the integration and deployment of new technologies and upgrades.
• Prepare and manage the budget for the systems operations department, ensuring cost-effective technology investments.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security protocols.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations, including 5 years in a leadership role. In addition, you will need:
 

• Strong knowledge of systems operations, IT infrastructure, network management, and cloud technologies.
• Proven experience with IT service management (ITSM), change management, and incident resolution processes.
• Expertise in virtualization, containerization, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and database management.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards.
• Fluent in English, orally, and in writing.
