Helly Hansen is looking for a Junior Demand Planner
The Junior Demand Planner will support planning and execution of demand and supply of HH range in the most efficient and cost-effective way. The value of this position comes from cross functional partnership with Sales, D2C, Customer Operations, Product, Supply Chain and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monthly demand forecasting for HH brand, incorporating market trends and historical data.
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and identify inventory optimization opportunities.
- Support Demand Planning Manager in generating reports related to demand planning activities.
- Monitor NOS/Core and seasonal products in collaboration with Sales Channels and Product.
- Review of inventory levels and propose relevant actions.
- Collaborate with Sales, D2C, Product, Customer Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze relevant planning metrics for continuous improvement.
- Use and maintain the Demand Planning tools as the primary forecasting system tool.
- Seasonal and in season cost updates including landed cost calculation.
- Master data maintenance; Style, STC and SKU.
- Follow up on in-season PO changes/updates.
- Follow up of specific projects and ensure demand is fulfilled.
- Follow up on demand changes vs supply and suggest actions for improvements.
- Contribute to optimal flow of goods – review/update stock transfers and reroutes.
Success metrics
- Demand/Buy forecast accuracy.
- Available to promise on specific CORE / NOS stock.
- Out of Stock Rate.
- Master data accuracy.
- Updated Landed costs by season.
Competencies & personal attributes
- 1-3 years work experience in retail planning, buying or merchandising.
- Experienced with other software packages including ERP (M3), Windows, and Microsoft Office.
- Process and systems oriented with focus on continuous improvement.
- Good analytical skills.
- Structured and thorough.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with multiple levels within a large organization.
- Bachelors' degree in retail, marketing or finance preferred.
