Gitartype: Elektriske gitarer
Legendary Tonebender ( 1.5 ) or also as it seams from construction that’s very close to first Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face. Originally made by JEN in 1968 at Pescara for Thomas Organ & Vox. Early copy of one of The first benders that sounds simply mind blowing good in my opinion and not only mine. Only selling it because I have two of them.. This one is older and in better condition. Kept in pedalboard so it’s in amazing condition as 56 years old pedal! Working as every old pedal on classic 9v battery clip. Definitely worth of checking out killer fuzz that it’s very hard to get it now. Especially in such a fairy good price. Those pedals value starts internationally from 9000nok to even 20.000nok plus shipping and tax fees to get it to Norway naturally.. (reverb.com) Came with one of The bands playing here back in a days. Nothing had been fixed or changed (100% original). It’s looking and sounding great! Everything’s working as it should. Beautiful tone of 60’s and great sustain worth its price. Famous from being used by Beatles , Keith Richards , Jeff Back , Pete Townsend , Jimi Page and a lot of more other famous guitarists that were experimenting with fuzz pedals at The time like of course Hendrix did as well. Basically You can’t go wrong with this one. Feel free to ask if You have any questions. Shipping can be manage at buyers cost or it can be handed over at Torshov in Oslo. Preferably payment by vipps. Here’s a quick wiki-story if You’re interested..
The Vox Tone Bender (model no. V828 in Vox's 1966 US price list) is based on the same circuit topology as the MK1.5 version. It was made for Thomas Organ Co. by the Jen company in Italy. This circuit uses different component values and transistor types making it different in tone and behavior. It used a PCB instead of the UK built MK1.5 which used strip board. Different transistor and capacitor setups have been used over the years. Earlier variants are fuller sounding, while later ones are rather bright and cutting. This one is very nicely cutting through The mix ! 🤟🏻
It is assumed that these were initially made for the US market, while the Sola Sound made units were distributed in the UK and Europe.
JEN used the enclosures and circuit boards to make Fuzz for other companies such as Elka, Gretch and Luxor. They also released it under their own name of JEN and used the enclosure for a range of other effects.
