Sr. Project Planner

Vår Energi is one of the leading oil and gas companies in Norway and a major supplier of gas to Europe. We are now seeking a Senior Project Planner to support the development of our projects. The position is responsible for providing planning support to relevant projects, but also to drive the development of our way of working in the discipline.

Main tasks

Continuous improvement and standardization

• Be a key driver to evaluate, develop and maintain standards for planning in Vår Energi
• Use digital initiatives to improve planning methodology
• Support the development of Vår Energi total portfolio overview of ongoing activities and projects

In project/portfolio:

• Track, monitor and accurately report project progress and forecasting.Develop and maintain project schedules on allocated project
• Development, management and distribution of project plans reflecting various levels of detail within the integrated project planning environment
• Production of both on- and offshore resource histograms and S-curves when required
• Co-ordinate the completion of planning/scheduling input to the monthly reporting (internal and/or external) on dedicated projects/portfolio working closely with project team members to establish planning/scheduling information and performance
• Prepare and contribute to project reviews when required
• Support the estimating process to ensure planning risks are identified and appropriately quantified

Qualifications

• Demonstrated project experience from early phase, modification and execution projects
• Strong knowledge of planning tools, SAFRAN in particular
• MSc or BSc in Business Administration, Engineering or a technical certificate in Construction Management
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English
