Geoscientist
As the company evolves, we seek enthusiastic team members to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that aims to establish Reach Subsea as a key player in the Subsea Service industry.
We are expanding our Monitoring Discipline in Bergen and are currently looking for a Geophysicist to join the team. At Reach Subsea, we prioritize innovation and deeply value the contributions of every team member.
For this position we will be hiring on an ongoing basis.
Why join Reach Subsea:
Join Reach Subsea, a globally recognized leader in subsea services. This position is primarily based at our Monitoring Discipline in Bergen, where you'll work on offshore monitoring technologies for renewable energy, CO2 sequestration, and hydrocarbon production. However, for the right candidate, we can also accommodate the possibility of performing the role from one of our other locations.
Our team develops innovative solutions like gWatch, a reservoir monitoring service that measures gravitational field changes and seabed movements, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional 4D seismic. This approach provides clients with essential subsurface insights without environmental impact.
To determine the effectiveness of gWatch for specific hydrocarbon production and CO2 sequestration projects, we utilize advanced geophysical modeling. Once we have delivered the gWatch time-lapse results to our clients (oil or CCS operator companies), we continue our collaboration with them to set up workflows to make optimal use of this data to improve their understanding of the subsurface. This involves the incorporation of gravity and seafloor deformation data in history-matching workflows.
As the domains requiring Reach Subsea's geophysical expertise expand, we are committed to reinforcing the capacity of our Geoscience team in Bergen with an experienced geoscientist well-versed in history matching.
