As Senior Electrical Engineer, do you want to solve tough challenges for the global energy industry?

As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in onshore or offshore projects.

Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

What will you be doing?

• Perform cable calculations
• Prepare requisitions and specifications for electrical packages and equipment procurement, including vendor follow-up
• Approve supplier documentation and oversee delivery of equipment (690/400V distribution boards, UPS systems, transformers, variable speed drives, etc.)
• Prepare documentation for onshore installation
• Create drawings, specifications, and data sheets
• Develop engineering work packages
• Estimate cost and weight in a multi-discipline environment
• Conduct onshore/offshore surveys and FAT
• Deliver results and meet customer expectations

Qualifications we think you should have:

• 5-10 years of experience as an engineer
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written
• Relevant experience in onshore or offshore oil and gas projects
• Familiarity with ATEX requirements and ATEX certified equipment
• Offshore course is an advantage
• Experience as a Discipline Task Responsible
• Offshore experience
• TIME, MIPS, and Procosys
• Accurate, flexible, and organized
• Service-minded with the ability to work independently
• Strong teamwork skills
