Seiko SCVF001 (Meget sjelden Seiko)
Beskrivelse av varen
Tilstand: Godt brukt - Synlig brukt
40 mm.
Monoblock/monocoque kasse i titan.
«Made at Shizukuishi Watch Studio where Credor and Grand Seiko are made. First production of the 4s15-7000 was 1995 and was discontinued in 1997 due to the high cost to make the 4s15 movement and the titanium monocoque case.»
«It's not really a surprise you don't hear it talked about today. I'd guess not more than a couple of handfuls exist outside Japan.»
«However, I can't find it on any sales forums, online auctions, anywhere. Not only is it not being sold, it's not being talked about. Is it THAT rare? I guess I'I keep on searching...»
«Rare '90s Seiko SCVF001 Titanium "Air Diver" Inside ticks the venerable caliber 415; the 4S series succeeded the 52XX COSC movements popularized by King Seiko and proceeded the current 8L/9S used in Grand Seiko. In other words, an important movement of extinguished pedigree.»
«Super high quality watch, inside and out.
Launched mid-90's when mechanical was not popular, so seiko proved a point with the quality.
Hi-beat 4s15, built on Daini 52 series. 4s preceded the current Grand Seiko movements. The hands, dial and case finishing is superb.
Designed by Nobuhiro Kosugi, who went on to be the GS chief designer when GS relaunched late 90's. You might say that this is a mini-GS diver.»

Made at Shizukuishi Watch Studio where Credor and Grand Seiko are made. First production of the 4s15-7000 was 1995 and was discontinued in 1997 due to the high cost to make the 4s15. It really is rare and one heck of a watch. This is only the 2nd one I've seen. The first one I saw, I serviced for my late watch maker mentor as his health was failing. I believe his son would probably still have it but I lost touch with him so not sure. Incredible movement that was extremely fascinating to service. Amazing craftsmanship.
The overall construction and regulation were excellent. The finishing wasn't the prettiest but the quality of the parts used were high grade. (It was the first high beat movement I worked on so that added to the fascination I suppose). I didn't have to replace one part. That is remarkable considering it was a high beat movement and daily beater. His didn't look as nice as yours. I had similar timing results, probably due to not replacing the main spring. The watch ran great before the service so I left the mainspring alone. The balance regulated perfectly and was easy to do. I don't do much anymore as my eyes are not what they used to be and my medications I take make me a little shaky. I sold most of my equipment except for the essentials as I still service family and friends. It takes me a lot longer without all those glorious tools I had. They sold in a hot second as well 😆. Take care of that watch, it's worth a pretty penny.
