Vice President - Business Development

Kongsberg Maritimes Business Development team is looking for an experienced Vice President to join our Program Management team. This small, dynamic team is expected to have a big impact in supporting our vision of shaping the maritime future, by identifying and supporting the realization of future growth opportunities across the business.

The primary objective of the role involves the identification of growth opportunities in the emerging ocean space, performing initial evaluations, prioritization and business case development. This work will involve collaboration with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including engagement with prospective clients, external partners and senior company executives. The role is expected to support the realization of sanctioned growth initiatives beyond the approval process and into operation.

The role is anticipated to be largely project-based and as such it is expected that you will participate in and lead multi-disciplinary teams in the pursuit of identified growth projects, while providing expert advice on specific markets, value chains or technical domains.

Typically, the opportunities and associated projects identified under this role will be highly complex and may influence the future direction of the business. You will therefore be expected to be familiar with a wide range of strategic, financial and technical evaluation tools to support the assessment of prospective growth opportunities and prepare business cases for presentation to senior company executives. The role is also expected to leverage both organic and inorganic strategies, so a familiarity with M&A and partnership processes is expected. Experience in the delivery of large-scale, complex business transformation or development projects would also be expected.
