Senior Offshore Geophysicist

The Senior Offshore Geophysicist is responsible for the data acquisition, quality control, interpretation and production of our geophysical deliverables.

For this position we will be hiring on an ongoing basis.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Support the preparation of project documentation, as required.

Ensuring that the data acquired is according to the project requirements

Preparation of required offshore reports.

Interpretation and integration of acquired geophysical data to produce site reports.

Maintenance of QC and interpretation logs.

Cooperate with the team to ensure that all deliverable timelines are met.

Support the final deliveries in the office as required after a project.

The Senior role will be responsible for deliverables and lead the offshore geophysical team, providing advice and guidance. The Senior Geophysicist may also take on the Offshore Report Coordinator role.

External relationships:

Clients’ offshore representatives, daily cooperation.

Hardware and software suppliers, contact as required.

Job qualifications:

BSc in Geophysics, Physics, Geology, Geoscience, Engineering, Geomatics or Computer Science.

In addition to formal education; relevant experience with geophysical, site survey, UXO Surveys, cable burial surveys, inspection and subsea construction survey is also considered important

Desirable knowledge of SonarWiz, Kingdom, Oasis, montaj, GIS and EIVA software.

High level of attention to detail. Fluent in English, written and spoken.
