Norrøna is searching for a Product Specialist (Pattern Maker) for a one year temp position!

About the role
As a Product Specialist in Norrøna you will be in charge of pattern making and an important part of the product development of our Norrøna garments, with high focus on quality, function, design and sustainability. You will work with all garment product categories covering all Norrøna activities. You will own the product responsibility during the in-house development and prototyping process, in close collaboration with our Product Technicians, Designers, Product Developers and Material Developers . Our sample room is an integrated part of RD&D, also located at our headquarters.
Upon approval of the final in-house sample, the product responsibility is handed over to Product Developers in charge of manufacturer sample reviews during the product industrialization and commercial terms. Your expert support is expected for pattern changes and consumption approval during that phase.

Main areas of responsibilities
- Develop patterns for allocated seasonal styles according to the Norrøna strategy, fit, function and design
- Create the style pattern by using CAD software for pattern making, 2D/3D programs and illustrations program
- Keep product bill of material (BOM) updated throughout inhouse development
- Evaluation of prototypes
- Responsible for booking and leading the evaluation of your assigned products
- Develop complete product technical packages
- Develop and maintain construction standards and technical drawing libraries
- Gather and coordinate field testing feedback on ongoing developments
- Take part of company projects
- Follow Norrøna timeline and respect deadlines throughout the seasons
Qualifications
- Relevant education in pattern making and sewing
- 5+ yrs experience working as a pattern maker is preferred
- Excellent knowledge of computerised pattern design, proficiency in Lectra Modaris is preferred
- Knowledge and experience of product lifecycle management is a plus, preferable in Centric PLM
- Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Browzwear is a plus
- High level of garment construction knowledge and experience with overseas manufacturing is a must
- Experience with technical product solutions / outdoor garments is preferred
- Fluency in English and a Scandinavian language
