Lead Strategic Growth and Development as Software Business Director at Geomatikk

The Software Business Director will be responsible for the overall management and the strategic direction of Geomatikk’ software division. The division is constantly growing through M&A activities and is currently consisting of five business units across the Nordics and Spain. The main software products are within the Network Information Systems space, but we also have a significant business and growth opportunity for our software solutions for excavation permits.
 
The purpose of the Software Business Director role is to drive the commercial agenda of the Geomatikk Software division, including commercial strategies, developing and implementing software pricing models, overseeing product management, and consolidating products across the software business portfolio. Additionally, the director will identify and drive M&A of new software companies that align with the company’s strategic goals and fit well with the product portfolio.
 
The Software Business Director will be a key member of the group management team, reporting to Group CEO, and will have the Managing Directors of the group’s software business units as direct reports. Preferred location of the Software Business Director is Oslo; however, we are flexible depending on finding the right candidate for the position. Travelling is expected as part of this role.
 
Who are we looking for?
 
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious leader with a proven track record in scaling software/SaaS businesses. You have strong strategic and commercial acumen, coupled with the ability to build and transform high-performing teams. Ideally, you have experience driving growth, operational improvements, and leading businesses through periods of significant transformation.
 
You are a hands-on and collaborative leader with excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal awareness, and a talent for inspiring and aligning teams. You thrive in dynamic environments and have a forward-thinking approach to strategy and innovation. While M&A experience is a plus, your focus will be on driving value creation and delivering results. Fluency in English and one of the Scandinavian languages is required.
