Hardware Engineer, Wearable Devices (Wellness)

Role Description

• Develop a wearable device to pair with our wellness app.
• Oversee hardware development from system and board-level design to product launch, managing projects through initial concept, functional specifications, architecture design, and feature validation to ensure successful implementation and support.
• Conduct comprehensive hardware evaluations, including schematic reviews, system assessments, and performance analysis. Develop testing tools, execute complex system-level tests, troubleshoot existing products, and perform both unit and integration testing to ensure product quality and functionality.
• Lead the development of component and module vendors, and implement tester/evaluation plans to deliver scalable production solutions while ensuring high quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop, document, and implement health sensing feature design and architecture.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with wearable technology and health-related sensors.
• Knowledge of low-power design techniques for battery-operated devices.
• Familiarity with wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC).
• Understanding of biomedical engineering principles and biometric data collection.
• Experience with miniaturization and ergonomic design for wearable devices.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and minimum 3 years of proven experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of system and firmware development is a plus.
• Experience in optical module development and quality management is a plus.
• Experience in working with overseas manufacturers and vendors is a plus.
