We are looking for a powerplant engineer to join our team.

Aero Norway is looking for a Powerplant Engineer to join the Engineering Team. The Powerplant Engineer is part of the Customer Focus Team to perform engine maintenance in line with customer agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the overall technical responsible engineer while the aircraft engine is in the shop for maintenance or repair.
- Work within the customer teams to create added value to the customer, meet customer commitments and requirements, be the technical contact for questions and support.
- Support production personnel to solve technical problems in connection with engine overhaul and repair
- Communicate technical issues and experience with the OEM and internal and external customers
- Evaluate procedures to analyse and improve the overhaul of aircraft engines in accordance with guidelines given by the FAA and EASA
- To assess all new technical data from the engine/component manufacturer, airworthiness authorities and follow up with necessary documentation
- Evaluate engine documentation packages and make assessments to assist in buying engines for overhaul, teardown, repair or lease
- Be proactive to improve all aspects of the engineering function and be part of continuous improvement activities
- Carry out tasks given by the Engineering Manager
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent with aero engine/Airline maintenance experience. Candidates with extensive experience with Aircraft Engines type CFM56-3, CFM56-7B, CFM56-5B, or LEAP will also be considered for this position.
- 2+ years’ Engineering experience in either Airline or Overhaul Shop Powerplant Engineering
- Good knowledge of Powerplant Systems
- Good business acumen
