When Madonna placed the ad asking for someone to father her child, some of us were more than happy to offer to help out. Sadly, another was chosen.

So we at Event Recordings posted a request on the Internet: could anyone get us a tape of her unborn baby's heartbeat? Perhaps that would be the closest we'd get. We thought it an impossible dream but the Internet is a wonderful thing, bringing together fans and the families of New York nurses in one shared vision.

As the recording we received was understandably considerably shorter than is presented here, we've looped selections of the original tape to produce the beautiful, relaxing repetition you hear on this CD.

Only 200 copies of this historical artifact have been produced, so if you know in your heart that you're not a TRUE Madonna fan, please pass it on to someone who is.
