Engineering Manager

As Engineering Manager, you will combine your engineering & project experience with your leadership skills to manage engineering work and deliverables in our projects and developments, ensuring the engineering deliverables is in accordance with the contract, scope of work, schedule and budgets that concerns the Project. Through continuous work you will guide and facilitate the projects from study phase through execution. Your knowledge from all phases in a project and the understanding of the various disciplines will benefit you in this management role.

Your ownership to the ongoing projects will play a vital role when recommending and executing improvements within engineering processes as well as ensuring that the project is performed in an efficient manner according to the project execution model. In this role you will also be accountable for managing the Health Safety and External Environmental risks in the project, and for following up the HSE objectives, targets, and activities.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
Project:

• Ensure that project milestones are being met and establish a strong commitment in the engineering team to achieve project milestones and to deliver on time and within budget.
• Lead the Engineering organization to top performance through weekly planning awareness. 
• Ensure engineering review and preparation of necessary project specific adjustments and supplements of the engineering related parts of the execution model (PEM).
• Ensure efficient inter-discipline communication and coordination.
• Responsible for resource steering and rightsizing of the project.

Basic organization:

• Hold the overall responsibility for Engineering work and Engineering deliverables.
• Plan the engineering phase to ensure efficient production of detailed documentation necessary to procure, fabricate, install, and operate the equipment safely.
• Obtain knowledge of the Contract's contents and make sure that the engineering organization has the necessary know-how about scope of work and technical / commercial contractual aspects.
• Ensure that necessary procedures and working routines are identified and established for the engineering activities.
• Ensure full compliance with relevant rules and regulations as well as Client and contractual requirements. (Specifications & Standards)
• Conduct / Coordinate Training, Communication, Productivity, Improvement, Lessons Learned, Planning, and LCI sessions as needed for the engineering organization.
• Responsible for continuous improvement of engineering processes and multidiscipline methods in Project Execution Models (PEM’s) with focus on automation, digitalization and simplification.
• Responsible for resource steering and long term forecast within engineering.
• Rightsizing the Department according to Company development.

We are looking for a highly experienced engineer with minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience, preferably from multi-discipline projects and 5 years’ experience as a line manager. You hold strong communication and cooperation skills, as well as a structured and systematic approach. Your ability to motivate the team, as well as being visible and present will be highly valued.
