Mechanical Engineer – Rotating Equipment
What does the job involve?
Responsible for Safe Work practices, planning, execution and monitoring of lifecycle operations and preventative as well as unplanned maintenance of the facilities, equipment, tools, and systems used to acquire energy resources. Includes identification and evaluation of operational risks and setting operational performance targets and measures. May include oversight/scheduling of a preventative maintenance program and maintenance related functional activities as job planning, scheduling, shift control, performance monitoring and liaisons with operations groups to ensure equipment/plant scheduled downtimes are coordinated effectively.
You are utilizing your knowledge to independently solve complex tasks with a short-term operational or tactical impact/risk. You deliver on tasks defined by others (and potentially partly defined by you) with significant impacts on team objectives. You independently communicate within the immediate team, across different areas, and towards key stakeholders, including partners.
What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
- Be technical responsible for rotating equipment.
- Maintain condition monitoring systems.
- Provide support to operations and maintenance.
- Provide technical support for shutdown and projects.
- Participate in professional networks across onshore facilities.
- Contribute to technology development.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical or rotating equipment engineering.
- 3-5 years relevant experience.
- Experience working with gas compressors, gas turbines, steam turbines, pumps, gears.
- Experience working in process plants is preferred.
- Fluent communication skills in English and Scandinavian, written and spoken.
