We are currently seeking experienced Technical Superintendents to join our team in our offices in Kristiansand, Aberdeen and Gdynia. Applicants residing in Norway, Scotland or Poland who are interested in working from either of these three office locations are invited to apply.

Working as Technical Superintendent is a critical role ensuring safe, efficient and compliant vessel operations and maintenance while meeting project timelines and budgets. As Technical Superintendent, you will cooperate and interact with the other departments in the company, ensuring the vessels in the fleet are maintained in line with technical KPI.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensuring that company policies, standards and guidelines are developed, implemented, and practiced
• Supporting and monitoring the implementation, performance, and effectiveness of the SMS and the company´s certificates and standards within the department
• Promoting the company internally and externally
• Participate in the Emergency Organization as described in the SMS.
• Responsible for technical condition and technical utilization for assigned vessels
• Responsible for OPEX and CAPEX budget and performance for assigned vessels
• Responsible for assigned vessels statutory and class certificates, ensuring they are not overdue – and that all certificates are registered in Sertica Certificates module.
• Responsible for the assigned vessel´s planned maintenance system performance ensuring no Jobs are overdue, all Components are properly registered in Sertica and that all Job close-out actions are done properly.
• Responsible for assigned vessel´s onboard and onshore stock of spares, consumables and items – ensuring they are all registered and counted in Sertica.
• Responsible for assigned vessel´s dry dockings, class annuals, technical pit stops and upgrades – under the direction of the Technical Manager.

Qualifications: 

• 3-5 years of studies at college / university, relevant working experience can compensate for lack of formal academic education.
• 10 years of working experience
• Relevant experience from shipping, oil and gas is preferable
• Engine officer experience from OSV-vessels is preferrable
• Electro and/or automation experience is preferrable
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
