Orkla House Care is 100% owned by Orkla ASA. Orkla House Care is the leading provider of brushes, rollers and other painting tools. Including relevant consumables such as sanding, tape, protection gear and cleaning equipment. The main markets are the Nordic countries, Benelux and the UK. The main proprietary brands are Jordan, Harris, Anza, Spekter, SAM and Hamilton. Sales are mainly through traditional paint shops and trade merchants. The business has around 750 employees and the total business has a turnover of approximately 1,5 billion Norwegian kroner. Most of the products are self-produced and distributed through Bankeryd in Sweden, and Bromsgrove in the UK. The head office is at Skøyen in Oslo. To lead and develop a team that drives cost optimization and responsible sourcing, we are looking for our new Procurement Director. In this role, you will work in a company with global operations, leading our Procurement team through innovative projects. This is a role where you get to put your project management skills to a test, driving continuous improvement together with Area- and category teams.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you can be based in Oslo (NO), Jönköping/Bankeryd (SE), Copenhagen/Vallensbæk (DK), Bromsgrove (UK) or Wommelgem (BE).
Main responsibilities
- International leadership of remote teams, multisite production, and a global supplier portfolio
- Strategic procurement, in both raw materials and traded goods
- Develop and ensure that Way of Working meets legal and regulatory requirements
- Responsible for running commercial processes toward the supplier market, selecting and contracting suppliers, identifying sourcing synergies cross-company
- Establish and improve processes for new suppliers, and simplify footprint tracking
- Lead OHC’s ESG work by partaking in the Orkla Responsible Sourcing activities, and working towards reaching OHC’s sustainability goals

Key qualifications and experiences
- Higher education in relevant field, such as Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business, Finance
- Experience from a similar role, with commercial contracting and P&L responsibility
- 5+ years’ experience from an operational purchasing role
- 5+ years in leadership roles
- Extensive project management experience, managing a range of innovation projects to supply chain and production improvements
- General knowledge of packed goods and category, preferably from a branded goods organisation
- General knowledge of relevant ESG- and other legal and regulatory requirements for products and supply chains
- Experience working in an Asian market is a merit
- Fluency in English, written and verbal
