Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Advisor / Senior Advisor to our Strategy Research department, which is part of the Deputy CEO area. Strategy Research provides research and advice underpinning the development of the fund’s overall investment strategy.

The investment advisory process involves working with internal and external stakeholders, including the Leader Group of NBIM, the Executive Board of Norges Bank and the Norwegian Ministry of Finance. You will help in analysing and formulating the advice that the Executive Board gives to the Ministry of Finance on the overall investment strategy of the fund. We rely primarily on internal research, but also learn from close interaction with leading peers, asset managers, official institutions and academia.

The position is based in Oslo and will report to the Global Head of Strategy Research. Some travel will be required.

What you will do

• Conduct analysis on topics related to long term asset management and asset allocation
• Facilitate and coordinate the research and analysis needed to give strategic investment advice to the Executive Board and the Ministry of Finance. This involves collaborating with teams across the whole of NBIM
• Contribute to the formulation of strategic investment advice to the asset owner and internal decision makers
• Contribute to the team dialogue, discussions, feedback and meetings

What you need

• Relevant Master’s degree with strong academic records
• 5-10 years of experience, preferably from investment management or relevant governmental organization. International experience is an advantage
• Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities, coupled with excellent analytical and decision-making skills
• High level of proficiency in written and spoken Norwegian and English
