Exciting Opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer at Oceaneering!
Are you a recent graduate engineer with a passion for Subsea technology?
Oceaneering is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our SSR & OPG engineering department in Forus, Norway. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge subsea tools and equipment, working alongside a team of experienced engineers.
What will you be doing?
- Design and engineering of state-of-the-art subsea tools and equipment using modern 3D CAD and 3D printing tools.
- Participate in the entire product lifecycle, from concept design and engineering to manufacturing, testing, and deployment.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings using industry-standard CAD software.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses to ensure the functionality and reliability of subsea equipment.
- Collaborate with colleagues across various disciplines, including electrical and hydraulic engineers.
- Participate in workshops and testing activities to ensure smooth integration of your designs.
What are we looking for?
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Practical experience with mechanics and hydraulics is a plus
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering mechanics
- Proficiency in using 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- A passion for technology and a strong work ethic
