The Challenges that Await You

As our new Demand Planner, you will become part of the Nordic Demand Planning Team and report directly to the Nordic Demand Planning Manager. The team is comprised of 9 Demand Planners located across the Nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland). This position specifically concerns Nestlé Norway, and you will be based at our Nordic Office in Oslo.

You will be responsible for facilitating the development of a realistic demand plan for several of our key brands. Working cross functionally, you will assume overall responsibility for the demand plan numbers in our SAP APO-based system. Your responsibilities will span from hands-on to strategic tasks, but also have an element of customer facing, thus, vary in complexity.

In this role, key responsibilities will include:

• Generating sales forecasts in order to create an 18-month rolling demand plan.
• Owning and driving the conversation with stakeholders on identified gaps and trends. 
• Securing correct input for phase in/out of products.  
• Reviewing and analyzing historical trends.
• Driving synergies with our recently implemented analytical tools. 
• Assisting in managing promotional activities related to forecast and inventory management.
• Driving good relationships with main buyers, including regular meetings with Supply Chain peers at customer level.

You will also collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales internally, providing relevant input on a regular basis through our Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) process, covering volume expectations, product launches, commercial plans, promotions, and customer behavior.

We are looking for someone who is proactive and has strong interpersonal skills, as you will have many different internal stakeholders. Furthermore, you:

• Hold a relevant educational background.
• Ideally, have some years of experience within Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or similar – preferably from the FMCG industry.
• Are fluent in English, and ideally also in Norwegian (but the latter is not a must).
• Possess excellent analytical skills and are confident in working with numerical data.
• Have strong communication and influencing skills, in order to challenge stakeholders, when needed, and to secure buy-in for suggested changes to the forecast.
• Have a structured approach to your work and great prioritization skills, as this is key to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Experience working in a matrix organization and/or with SAP APO will be seen as advantageous.
