About the role

As Continuous Delivery Lead, you will help uncover, and lead our software delivery organization along the path towards high performance, while maintaining and even improving quality and operational stability at the same time.

You will collaborate closely with developers, devOps engineers, QA engineers and our internal platform team to build a shared CI/CD vision and define the steps forward. You will play a leading role in convincing stakeholders of the benefits of this journey, and in driving the changes that are necessary to move forward.

We have built our digital platform, Waypoint, from scratch—a unified solution for all services and business areas, utilizing modern technology. Waypoint is one of the Nordic region's largest .NET products. Every day, we focus on finding smarter solutions for our customers and ourselves. Our team comprises over 150 people working together in interdisciplinary and autonomous teams to deliver a stable, scalable, and secure insurance platform. Waypoint is a complex and exciting system, continuously in need of skilled and committed individuals. This is where you come in.

Who are you?

You live and breathe the principles of Continuous Delivery and DevOps and you never stop learning about this exciting field. You are passionate about improving Software Delivery and Operational performance through cultural improvements and the application of modern engineering practices. You have seen it working at scale and you can advocate the benefits to engineers and business stakeholders alike. You are able to plot a path from our current situation to a better one, to measure progress along the journey, and to help drive the organization forward. You can get into the details with engineers and even roll up your sleeves to help put it together when needed.

You also have:

• Extensive experience working with CI/CD tools, such as Git, Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps and TeamCity.
• Experience with source control tools and methods, such as trunk-based development and Gitflow.
• Experience in controlled rollout, using techniques and tools such as canary, A/B and blue/green deployments, and feature flags.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and GitOps is a bonus.
• Fluency in English - both orally and in written.
