Are you our new Director of Security & Emergency Response?
The Director Security & Emergency Response is responsible for ensuring the airline operates in compliance with security regulations and is prepared to respond effectively to emergencies. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures, emergency response plans, and crisis management protocols to protect passengers, crew, and assets.

In this role you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for the company’s Security & Emergency Response programs comply with EASA, ICAO, and local state regulations.
- Serve as the main point of responsibility to authorities for the company’s security and emergency processes.
- Responsible to develop and maintain effective relationships with external security services,
- Responsible for the background check process for flight crew, cabin crew, and staff members to meet regulatory and security standards.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s procedures and manuals related to security and emergency response.
- Collaborate with internal business areas to ensure compliance with the company’s security obligations.
- Responsible for monitoring and assessing security performance across all airline operations.
- Responsible for the company’s Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and conduct regular emergency exercises for all operational areas.
- Responsible for readiness and training of Emergency Directors, customer care teams, and Go-crisis teams.
- Oversee the management and functionality of the company’s Emergency Response communication systems.
- Conduct risk assessments within the security and emergency response scope.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
- Represent the security and emergency response department during internal and external audits.
Key External Relationships
- Regulatory authorities (e.g., EASA, ICAO, local aviation authorities).
- Law enforcement agencies and external security services.
- Emergency management organizations and response teams.
You are our ideal candidate if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Security, Emergency Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of aviation security experience in an airline, airport, or relevant areas (e.g., police enforcement).
- Comprehensive understanding of civil aviation regulations, standards, and recommended practices (EASA, ICAO SEC, BSL-SEC).
- Familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS) principles.
- Documented experience in emergency response and exercise planning.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Capacity to lead process improvements and apply innovative solutions in complex environments.
- Analytical skills for process and value chain optimization.
- Strong business acumen with experience in lean process development and change management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for individuals and groups.
- Fluency in English (written and oral).
