Senior Engineer - Automation

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to strengthen our Automation and OT Cybersecurity department in Asker. As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will contribute to Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition. Our portfolio covers manned and unmanned Oil and Gas topsides, High Voltage substations (HVAC or HVDC), electrification and other industry projects.

About the position

Aibel's Automation engineers design and specify automation systems solutions and strategies for projects in concept, study and detail phases. You will develop automation philosophies & solutions to the required level, as well as developing strategies, philosophies and secure design solutions for remote operation and remote diagnostics.

Responsibilities and tasks include

• Define, specify and design automation and SAS systems for FEED and/or EPC projects
• Development of automation philosophies & solutions
• Development of automation SAS programming basis for FEED and EPC detail level
• Participate and arrange meetings, workshops and reviews for automation discipline
• Interface to other disciplines, contractors, suppliers and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree
• Minimum 6 year's experience fromindustrial automation and SAS system, design activities and reviews
• Minimum 4 year's experience from SAS system design activities
• Experience with use of SCDs for documenting logic and SIS design activities
• Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNV and IEC

Personal qualities

• Fluent in written and oral English, Norwegian is an advantage
• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Innovative, systematic, and proactive; committed to improving methods with digital tools and meeting deadlines with high quality
