System Specialist

We are looking for a System Specialist to manage and improve key applications for asset information management (AIM) while providing essential support to the organisation.
We are in the startup phase of implementing Omega 365, you will serve as the primary system specialist for the business, acting as the go-to resource for all configuration, support, and optimization needs related to this solution.
You will play an essential role in the Omega 365 implementation project at Altera.
In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of applications by addressing technical issues, managing configurations and updates, and following up on technical deliverables. You will also take the lead in vendor management, coordinating with external partners to deliver effective solutions and maintain reliable service.

Some of the things you will be doing:
- Monitor and maintain business applications to ensure optimal performance for day-to-day operations.
- Configure and fine-tune application settings to align with business needs.
- Act as the go-to expert for diagnosing and resolving application-related issues, collaborating with users and technical teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels, empowering teams while ensuring security and compliance.
- Maintain detailed and user-friendly documentation for configurations, updates, and workflows, making it easy for team members to access and apply best practices.
- Provide tailored training sessions to business users, enabling them to confidently navigate and leverage application features for maximum productivity.
- Oversee and support application coordinators across projects.
- Ensure business application support to operations and projects fit for purpose.
- Put forward ideas and improvement initiatives aiding the Altera organisation to become more efficient.
- Contribute to optimization of the digital interface for operation and project processes and tools
Some of the things we are looking for:
- Strong ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Experience with systems Aveva AIM and PIMS/ Omega 365, with the ability to support the business in effectively utilizing these solutions.
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Relevant higher education or Bsc/Msc
- Ability to build in-depth expertise in IT applications pertinent to your field of responsibility.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve common objectives.
- Knowledge of STAR and SPI (smart plant instrumentation)
